What is climate-controlled storage, and why do I need it?

Climate-controlled storage units protect valuables from the notorious extreme weather that is part of our West Texas climate. Our brand-new storage building is equipped with a five zone state-of-the-art air conditioning system that helps protect valuables from pollen, dust and high and low temperatures. Storing your valuables in a climate-controlled environment is ideal for customers who need storage for wood furniture, clothing, photographs, records, TV and computer electronics, and many other items

Do I need my own lock?

We require all customers to secure their units with a lock.

How long is my lease term?

The rental agreement term will on a month-to-month basis. Your first rent payment is prorated. From there, rent will always be due on the 1st of each month. If your storage unit is occupied on the 1st day of the month, you will be responsible for payment of the entire months rent. We require you to give a vacancy notice in writing a minimum of 15 days prior to the day you move out of your unit.

What are my payment options?

Paying rent should be as easy as possible. You can pay rent with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Set up autopay through your online account and our secure system will automatically charge your credit card at the beginning of the month. This convenient method of payment helps you avoid late charges by ensuring your payment is made on time every month. You can also pay with credit card at our 24-hour kiosk conveniently located at the entrance to the facility and anytime online through our website. We accept checks by mail or in person, and you can always call us to submit a credit card payment during normal business hours.

When can I access my storage space?

With your own individual access code and advanced security measures, customers can access the facility from 5 am – 11 pm, 7-days per week. Our 24-hour kiosk and website are always available to complete your leasing process. Our knowledgeable, friendly managers are available Monday – Friday during business hours, and by appointment on weekends for all your storage needs. Give us a call today!

Does Stonegate Storage offer storage insurance?

Yes, we offer customers the option to purchase storage insurance from us upon signing of the rental agreement. Your insurance premium will be due along with rent on the 1st of each month. The insurance company we work with specializes in storage insurance. Choose the coverage amount that matches the value of your stored items. You may obtain coverage from an outside insurance company if it better suits your needs. We ask you provide proof of that insurance or other coverage for your valuables at the time of signing the lease. We highly encourage all customers to purchase an insurance plan of their choice for the safety of their valuables.

What documentation do I need to rent a unit?

A valid form of government-issued ID such as driver’s license, passport, or state ID is required for the process. The rental process is easy and seemless through our secure online system or at the facility with the 24-hour kiosk.

What items am I not allowed to store?

Perishables, plants, animals, stolen or illegal goods, flammable or hazardous items, combustible items or liquids are not allowed to be stored with us.
